AMHERST, Mass. – Kathryn Nathan ’13 continued to add to her growing list of postseason accolades, garnering her second-consecutive All-America selection.

Named to the second team last season, Nathan was one of just 33 student-athletes nationwide to be honored, earning a spot on the third team alongside Middlebury’s Elizabeth Foody as one of the NESCAC’s two representatives.

A first team All-NESCAC and second team NSCAA/Continental Tire second team All-America pick this fall, she was the leading vote-getter among seven midfielders selected to the NEWISA Senior Bowl. The league’s Co-Player of the Year in 2011, Nathan enjoyed a stellar senior season in which she ranked third in the NESCAC in points (21) thanks in part to a conference-best and program-record 11 assists.

Netting three of her five goals, while handing out 11 helpers during a six-game span to close out the regular season, Nathan served as the catalyst to a dominant Amherst stretch in which the Jeffs outscored their opponents 21-4. Tallying a goal with three assists in the season opener against Mount Holyoke, she had a hand in the scoring in nine of the team’s games, finishing her career with 24 markers, while tying the school record with 23 assists.
