KEENE, N.H. - Three different Jeffs scored as the 23rd-ranked Amherst women's soccer team claimed its sixth consecutive win Wednesday night with a 3-1 win over Keene State at Owl Athletic Complex.

The Jeffs snapped the Owls nine-game winning streak as they improved to 8-1-2 overall, dropping the Owls to 11-3-1.

It didn't take Amherst long to get on the board as Megan Kim '16 found the back of the net at the 9th minute with her team leading eighth goal of the year.

After more than 30 minutes of scoreless action, the Jeffs added an insurance net at the 40:58 mark as Chloe McKenzie '14 added her third of the season.

Keene State retaliated quickly and with just over a minute remaining until the break, Alex Haley '15 cut the deficit to one.

However, Amherst came out strong to begin the second half as Hannah Cooper '14 put the game out of reach when she scored in the 49th minute.

The Jeffs held a decisive 20-10 advantage in shots and 7-to-5 edge in corner kicks as they pulled away, 3-1. Holly Burwick '16 recorded three saves in net while Torrie Crenson '15 saved seven for Keene State.

Amherst will honor its senior class members next time out when they host Wesleyan on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m.
