AMHERST, Mass. – The fourth-ranked Amherst women’s tennis team extended its win streak to three matches with a decisive 9-0 victory over NESCAC rival Connecticut College.

Improving to 12-3 and 4-0 in league play, the Jeffs return to action on Saturday, Apr. 19 against conference rivals Wesleyan, Hamilton and Williams.

Headlining Amherst’s doubles pairings, Isabel Camacho ’14 and Megan Adamo ’17 made quick work of Ellie Rudd ’17 and Charlotte Marcoux ’16, 8-0. The Jeffs’ Rebecca Pol ’16 and Maddy Sung ’16 dispatched of Monica Rohrbach ’14 and Adrieene Sieverding ’16 in the second slot, 8-2, while Claire Carpenter ’17 and Simone Aisiks ’17 shut out Gibson Miller ’17 and Jillian Brigandi ’17, 8-0.

At first singles, Adamo dropped just one game to Marcoux, 6-1, 6-0, while Aisiks handled Sieverding, 6-3, 6-1. Carpenter ousted Rohrbach in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, while Sung defeated Susanna Studwell ’17, 6-0, 6-2. Camacho and Lara Min ’16 continued the Purple & White’s dominance at the bottom of the order, blanking Aneeka Kalia ’16 and Brigandi, respectively, 6-0, 6-0.
