Hixon2

Director: David Hixon
A veteran of many years of summer camps as both coach and player, New England Basketball Hall of Fame honoree David Hixon feels that WMBC gives young players the instruction and experience that is necessary for their development.

Hixon is currently in his 37th year as head basketball coach at Amherst College. In his first season (1977-78), Hixon was the youngest college varsity head coach in the country. As a player, he captained the Amherst Lord Jeffs during the 1974-75 campaign. Hixon's teams have won more than 700 games and have earned more than 20 postseason invitations, claiming NCAA Division III National Championship in 2007 and 2013. (See full bio)
