Lord Jeffs Pick Up 71-44 Road Win at Colby College

WATERVILLE, ME - Stefanie Reiff (Hinsdale, IL) had 16 points and six assists while teammate Shaina Pollack (Great Neck, NY) had a game-high 18 points as the Amherst College women's basketball team
took a 71-44 New England Small College Athletic Conference victory over Colby College on Friday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
Amherst improved to 19-1 overall and 4-1 in league play heading into Saturday's 2 p.m. game at Bowdoin. Colby fell to 5-12 and 1-4 in the league with Trinity College coming to Waterville for a game at 3 p.m. Saturday.
First-year Sarah Leyman (Cincinnati, OH) added 15 points and seven rebounds for Amherst.
Colby, which led 8-2 early in the game, trailed 56-42 with 7:11 left in the game. However, the Jeffs used a 13-0 run to pull away for good.
Katie McCabe (Watertown, CT) had 11 points and seven rebounds for the Mules. Meredith Aronson (Mountain Lakes, NJ) also had 11 points, while Alison Cappelloni (Sudbury, MA) added seven points.
