Gregg DiNardo '01, Assistant Coach
Gregg DiNardo ’01 enters his fourth year on the Amherst bench following an impressive four-year playing career for the Jeffs. After playing his prep school hockey at the Belmont Hill School, the North Reading, Mass., native went on to score 34 goals and 47 assists for 81 points in 95 collegiate games at Amherst, while leading the Jeffs to their first ever NCAA Quarterfinal appearance in 1999 before captaining the team as a senior. DiNardo led the team to a No. 6 national ranking in 1999 and a No. 6 ranking in 2001 before being selected to the ECAC/NESCAC/SUNYAC Senior All-Star Game in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
After graduating from Amherst with a BA in economics, Gregg pursued a career in finance before returning to graduate school to earn his MBA from Cornell University in 2009. Prior to his return to Amherst, Gregg gained valuable experience working in the athletics departments at MIT and Harvard and coaching hockey at Belmont Hill. In addition to his role with Amherst’s hockey program, Gregg will take on administrative responsibilities within the college’s department of athletics.
Gregg and his wife, Allison ’04, currently reside on the campus of Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Mass.
