Browne Earns All-NESCAC Honors

browneYALE1.jpgHADLEY, Mass. – Sophomore Noah Browne of the Amherst men’s squash team was named a First Team All-NESCAC selection, as announced Thursday by the league office.

Browne earned his second consecutive first team honor following a stellar 2013-14 campaign. The sophomore posted a 13-5 record throughout the season and went 4-1 at the first-ever Division III Invitational. After three consecutive wins, Browne fell in five sets in the semifinals to the eventual champion, Taylor Foehl. He finished third overall in the 32- player men’s ‘A’ divsion bracket.

Browne played the entire season in the No. 1 position for Amherst. During the NESCAC Championships, the senior went 3-1 with wins against No. 25 Conn. College, No. 21 Bowdoin and No. 23 Colby. Following the DIII Invitational, Browne led the Jeffs at the CSA Team Championships with a victory against No. 19 Brown and another win against Colby.
