Diversity and Equity Coordinator
I am a senior from Wichita, Kansas, aka The Air Capitol of the World! Here at Amherst I am pre-med and majoring in Neuroscience. Although I am a science major, I love the diversity of majors at Amherst. All of my friends are humanities majors and interacting with them as well as the wealth of other diversities at Amherst has done a lot to spark my interests in areas such as sociology, psychology, law, etc. I am also passionate about acting and theatre, I just don’t have as much time for it as I would like. Growing up, one of the biggest values instilled in me was a responsibility to love others and to love my community. As corny as it may sound, that value has been at the core of everything I found myself participating the past four years. In addition to working in the MRC, I have been a tour guide, an octagon manager, a researcher in the biology department, a tutor for Girls Inc. and I have sat on a couple of the college's administrative committees. As a senior, I’m not sure what the future will hold, but I believe it will be good, and I hope to avow the same commitments to diversity and community that my work at the MRC has allowed me to over the years.
