Since freshman year I have interned in various industries, including a tech start-up, clinical research, and a lecture series/emerging non-profit organization, all of which I learned about through alumni. Last summer I interned at DHR International, an executive search firm.
I am excited to work with students to start or edit resumes and cover letters, and help with connecting with alumni!

My most thought provoking classes have been in the Anthropology, Political Science, and Black Studies departments. Since coming to Amherst, I spent a lot of time thinking about the connections between my academic interests and career possibilities.
I was interested in public health research, I held high value for community, and I wanted to work with diverse groups of people. This led me to internships with a think tank and a hospital in Massachusetts and an NGO in India. At Amherst, I have been a resident counselor, peer mentor for pre health students, a teaching assistant for the chemistry department, and a tutor at schools in Amherst and Holyoke.
I'd love to work with you in linking your academic and personal interests to work experiences. I found the career center really helpful for me when learning how to find opportunities and apply for them. If you want feedback on resumes and cover letters, or just to have a conversation about career exploration, please drop by!

In my spare time I love watching movies, reading and knitting. I’ve had internships in banking, consulting, and last summer I had the pleasure of working in Ghana as an intern for the African School of Excellence, which was founded by an Amherst alum. I hope to eventually pursue a career involving international development. I’m very excited to help you with your cover letters, resumes and general career goals!
Sairam Nagulapalli '15
At Amherst, I am studying Political Science and Economics and have worked as a research assistant in the Political Science department. Last summer, I interned at the Amherst Business Improvement District.
I look forward to working at the Career Center and becoming more involved on campus. Stop by the Career Center if you want general career advice or help with your résumés or cover letters!

I have a knack for supporting others through their endeavors and only naturally wished to continue along that path by becoming a part of the Peer Career Advisory team. With that said, I humbly offer my services and say feel free to contact me for help with any part of the job/internship finding process. Our collaborative efforts can really go a long way, so please don't be shy and take advantage of not only what I have to offer, but of the whole Career Center as well.
Feel free to drop by my office hours during the academic year. Happy job hunting, my friends.

I am an English and Economics double major here at Amherst but I love taking a diverse range of courses from many other departments too. I am a third-time resident counselor serving in Morrow Dormitory, a part of an all women's a capella group called The Bluestockings, and sing with the Jazz ensemble as well. My hobbies are listening to music, reading, catching up with friends, working out and traveling. I look forward to meeting all of you at the Career Center!
