Becoming an Amherst Select member for Summer 2019 requires that you complete the following four steps by Friday, March 1, 2019.

1. Attend a Making Mammoth Plans Workshop

2. Attend one of the following Internship Preparation Workshops:

Foundations of Resume Building & The Art of the Cover Letter
Mastering the Internship Interview

3. Have a resume reviewed and approved by either a Peer Career Advisor (PCA) or career advisor in the Loeb Center. For a list of times to meet with a PCA or advisor visit our drop-in hours schedule. *If your resume was approved prior to beginning the Amherst Select enrollment process, you do you have to do so again.

4. Complete and submit the Amherst Select Internship Program application found in Handshake: .

If you were enrolled in the Amherst Select program during previous academic years and would like to re-enroll again, you need need only complete:

1. Attend a Making Mammoth Plans Workshop

2. Complete and submit the Amherst Select Internship Program Application found in Handshake:

Applying for Internships

Once you become a member of Amherst Select, you will be able to apply for Amherst Select internships through Handshake. Positions will begin to accept applications towards the end of the fall semester, and new positions will continue to be posted to Handshake throughout the spring semester.

Each employer has identified a deadline for when prospective interns must submit their resumes, cover letters and other application materials. Please make sure to read the position descriptions carefully for both the deadline and application instructions.
