Education

AAUW Educational Foundation
Offers a variety of funding opportunities for women. Programs include fellowships or grants for doctoral work & research, career development, community action, teaching in public schools, international students and for study in specific degree programs where women's participation has traditionally been low.
Deadline: Varies

James Madison Fellowships
This fellowship provides up to $24,000 for graduate study that focuses on the Constitution–its history and contemporary relevance to the practices and policies of democratic government. Junior Fellowships are awarded to students who are about to complete, or have recently completed, their undergraduate course of study and plan to begin graduate work on a full-time basis. Fellows must make a commitment to teach after graduate school. Senior Fellowships are awarded to experienced teachers who wish to undertake work for a graduate degree on a part-time basis through summer and evening classes.
Deadline: March 1, annually

NSF Graduate Teaching Fellows Program at Duke
The NSF Graduate Teaching Fellows Program at Duke, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), is a collaborative program between Duke University Marine Laboratory and educators and administrators of Carteret County public schools and is designed to provide Duke NSF Graduate Teaching Fellows the opportunity to combine K-12 teaching experiences with research in the thematic area of Life in Variable and Polluted Marine and Coastal Environments.
Deadline: mid-February
