The Lewis-Sebring Commons is located in Valentine Hall. This dining area is open to all faculty, staff, administrators and guests of Amherst College.

Lewis-Sebring Weekly Menu

The Lewis-Sebring Commons houses meeting rooms, an attractive lounge and a dining room which can be utilized for catered events. All of these areas are available for departmental and private use throughout the year. Reservations maybe set up through the Dining Services Catering Office. As with all Amherst College facilities, the Lewis-Sebring Commons is a smoke-free environment.It is accessible to the physically challenged. We hope you will continue to enjoy and use this elegant space. Below are some guidelines for use of this facility.

ENTRY: The main entrance for the Lewis Sebring commons is located on the terrace, adjacent to the quad entrance to Valentine Hall. The Commons may also be accessed from the College Street entrance of Valentine Hall.

LUNCHEON RESERVATIONS: The main dining room is arranged with tables for two, four, six and eight persons. The "Kent W. Faerber '63 Meeting Room" can accommodate 21 people with seating at three round tables. The "Patricia A. Mullins Meeting Room" can accommodate 12 people with seating at one large table. Please note, if reserving one of these spaces for a luncheon meeting, meals must be purchased from the Lewis-Sebring Dining facility. Please note that the Lewis-Sebring Dining Room closes each day at 1:30 p.m.

Smaller groups are encouraged to reserve tables within the main dining room.

All rooms of the Lewis-Sebring Commons are available for meetings and catered events at any time of the day or night.

Please make all luncheon and room reservations by calling the Amherst College Dining Services Catering Office directly at 542-2842 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

STUDENT GUESTS: Faculty, staff and administrators may bring up to 3 student guests to lunch. Students are required to present their Amherst College ID card at the register after selecting menu options. The student guests are allowed to purchase a dollar amount equal to the price of the Express Lunch using their student meal plan. If the sale total should exceed the allotted student charge amount, the balance may be paid in cash, AC Dollars or charged on their host's Amherst College account. Students may not bring food from the Valentine Servery into the Lewis-Sebring Commons.

TABLE TENTS: There will be no table tents allowed within any area of the Lewis-Sebring Dining Room.

DAILY MENUS: Menu Specials are posted daily on the Internet by 10:30 a.m.

RESTROOM: The restrooms are located in the main foyer of Valentine Hall.
