We strive to promote positive mental health and well-being in the student body as a wholeOur vision is to create a campus environment that actively encourages and supports all students to learn and grow academically, socially and emotionally, and to create a vibrant community in which every student feels a sense of belonging and value.

Our Goals are to:

  • Increase engagement, well-being and sense of purpose
  • Build resiliency and self-efficacy
  • Improve sense of belonging and connection
  • Develop compassion for self and others
  • Reduce rates of loneliness, depression, stress, anxiety, and suicidality

We Provide:

  • Trainings for students, faculty and staff on mental health topics, available as scheduled and by request e.g. the Peer Support Skills Training (PSST), Responding to Students in Distress training
  • Programs and events, e.g. the Wellness Fair, the Wellness Challenge, Life Stories, speakers
  • Awareness and educational campaigns
  • Informational resources, e.g.brochures, posters, videos, social media

The Wellness Team is a group of 6-8 students who work under the supervision of the Program Director for Mental Health Promotion to promote student well-being on an individual, group and campus level.
