Daily Well Practice #2: Progressive Relaxation

Woman doing relaxation exercise Activity: Progressive relaxation helps to release physical and emotional tension and calm the stress response. You may do the exercise standing, sitting or lying down. Start by tensing or clenching your toes, holding for 5 seconds, then relax for 10 seconds. Notice the different sensations between the tense and relaxed states. Daily Well Practice #1: Start Your Day with Daylight


Activity: Get outside in the morning to soak up 10 or more minutes of natural daylight, rain or shine. If you can’t make it outside, expose yourself to bright, blue-toned light in the morning, and dim, yellow-toned light in the evening.
