- Events involving fundraising need to be registered with the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership and communicated during the event registration process. This must also include the method of gathering funds, how funds will be paid and who is receiving the funds.
- Orgs may fundraise, but are cautioned to fundraise for their group with care. Amherst policy requires that if there are cash sales/funds received it must be turned into Amherst Police at the end of the event. This will be used for reporting purposes by Amherst Police and by Student Engagement and Leadership. This will then be deposited into a group controller account that will be accessed by members of the executive board. Funds can only be requested of non-Amherst students for entry into an event.
