Overview of Events Guidelines
Review the below guidelines which are steps to complete in the registration process. You will need to complete this pertinent information provide information to the Office of Student Activities. It will assist in ensuring your event is a success.

- Once approved for funding, RSOs can request to use AC dining services or local services (i.e. Delivery Express).
- Event Information
- Plan your event
- Food & Safety & Grill Procedures
- Review grill area procedures prior to requesting use of Grill
- Fundraising Policy
- Orgs who fundraise must review the fundraising policy and notify the Student Activities as part of the event registration process.
- Funding Sources
- Club Budget, Campus Activities Co-Sponsorship Fund, Student Activities Co-Sponsorship Fund, Assoc. of Amherst Students Discretionary Fund, Other
- Funding can be purchased in advance through Student Activities or through check reimbursement
- Film & Media Copyright Compliance
- Fire Safety
- Review fire safety protocol prior to reqesting use of fireplace
- Publicity
- Organizations can use a variety of publicity options through Campus Print & Mail
- Type of Event
- Cultural, Group/Community Meal, Lecture, Meeting/Practice, Performance, etc.
- Type of Space
- Student Activities space or residence hall common space (you will need to meet with a CA)
