The Multicultural Resource Center and the Women's & Gender Center present The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, a film that details the true story of Henrietta Lacks, a Black woman whose cells were taken and used for research without her consent and became immortalized, still used in research to this day. The film deals with the complicated history between the Black community and the medical field through the eyes of Lacks' adult daughter, played by Oprah Winfrey. Come join us to learn about this important topic and and figure in Black history. Friday February 23 at 6pm in Keefe Theater.
