In 1998 the College converted a former faculty residence (built in 1967 in a modern style) into The Center for Religious Life. The Center houses the offices of Religious Advisors. In addition there is a large living room, a conference room, a small kitchen and dining area, and a Kosher-Halal kitchen.
Student religious groups use the Center for meetings and fellowship, among them weekly Jewish Sabbath gatherings, Bible study, and Zen meditation. The Center also hosts faculty lectures, coffeehouses, workshops, and a variety of other meetings. Reader-to-Reader has offices and operations in the Cadigan Center.
The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Center may also be reserved for evenings and weekends. The Center offers ethernet connections, a large TV with DVD and VCR, comfortable couches, a dining area, and two kitchens--one for common use and one for Kosher/Halal meal preparation. The campus community is welcome to use the Center for study or activities.
