Elizaveta Lozovaya

Elizaveta (Liza, pronounced as “Leeza”) Lozovaya, the Muslim Advisor, focuses her work on fostering awareness of the Muslim identity of all backgrounds on college campuses. Liza has an extensive experience in working with Muslim students on community organizing projects, religious literacy programs, religious accommodations and on Interfaith initiatives. The 5 college MSA partnership is one of Liza’s areas of competency as she has also been serving as the Muslim Chaplain at Mount Holyoke College. Building bridges across differences and exploring intersectionalities of a religious identity are at the core of Liza’s professional commitment. Her education is rooted in the principles of pedagogy in education as well as in psychology of students throughout the process of learning. Being a female Muslim advisor, Liza is particularly dedicated to the topics related to women in Islam. In the always changing world, Liza believes in the efficiency of professional development, and in the power of human connection inspired by faith and spirituality.
