Welcome to the AC Argentine Tango Club!!!

The Argentine Tango is an art form embracing a social dance, a genre music and culture. Born at the end of the 19th century, tango was one of the products of the cultural and rhythmic melting pot in Buenos Aires.

The core mission of the Amherst College Argentine Tango Club is to promote and cherish Argentine Tango within the Amherst College community, the 5-Colleges consortium, and the local community of the Pioneer Valley. We hold weekly lessons, special performances, and events throughout the year. All the lessons are free to  5-College students, faculty and staff of these institutions.
