About Us

Our Four Year Housing Project

Working closely with Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity, the Amherst College Chapter started work on the first housing unit in September 2006 and hopes to finish one house a year for four years.  Aided by the valuable experience of volunteers from the local community, Amherst College students supply much of the labor for the project.

The Amherst College Habitat for Humanity hopes the Amherst Project will serve as a blueprint for future cooperatives between institutes of higher education and local Habitat chapters.
