The History of the ACRFC

Amherst Rugby was founded in 1958 and has been blessing the rugby pitch ever since. The team has produced numerous players for the national team, among them U.S. Eagles Danny Wack, Russ Isaac and Dave Horton ‘82. We even produced the former Scottish National Team Captain Andy Irvine. Below, you will find old newspaper clippings, photos, and stories chronicling the early years of the ACRFC.
