ACWRFC Shield

Welcome to Amherst College Women's Rugby Football Club!

The spring 2016 season is here! Woot Woot! Winter is almost gone, and Amherst College Women’s Rugby Football Club is getting read to hit some rucks, sprint to the ball, tackle hard, and play some rugby with our new players.

Recruitment is huge this season, so please come out and join us! Our spring season is our non-competitive season, and it is only six weeks long. The emphasis on this season is to get new members trained well, so that they're ready for our competitive fall season. We'll have our first practice on March 22nd, and our season will end with our game against Williams on April 30th.

With our new E-Board and a young squad, we are looking forward to coming years with much antici.pation.

Fall 2015 season came to a close with a strong finish against UMaine. ACWRFC had a huge comeback during the second half! Best ever in the season. It was fantastic to see the entire team come together. Congratulations to all of our wonderful ruggers for an awesome fall season!

The Amherst College Women's Rugby Football Club is a student-run club sport that competes in the New England Small College Rugby Conference (NESC Rugby), a Division II Women's Collegiate Conference. Everyone, regardless of skill level, is encouraged to come out to a practice or game and see what the sport is all about - no experience required!  We practice three days a week and play games on Saturdays during both our fall and spring seasons.

Our spring general info session will be on March 10th at 8-9PM (McCaffrey). If you're interested in playing, please come to this session so that you can learn what we're all about!
