Amherst College Women's Rugby Football Club

Welcome to Amherst College Women's Rugby Football Club!

The spring 2016 season is here! Woot Woot! Winter is almost gone, and Amherst College Women’s Rugby Football Club is getting read to hit some rucks, sprint to the ball, tackle hard, and play some rugby with our new players.

Recruitment is huge this season, so please come out and join us! Our spring season is our non-competitive season, and it is only six weeks long. The emphasis on this season is to get new members trained well, so that they're ready for our competitive fall season. We'll have our first practice on March 22nd, and our season will end with our game against Williams on April 30th.

We are having our Rugby 101 at 7PM on Wednesday, February 24th (Friedmann Room in Keefe Campus Center) with Coach Tim. He'll be going over basic game rules and format for both veterans and new members. It'll be a great chance to get to know the rest of the team!

With our new E-Board and a young squad, we are looking forward to coming years with much anticipation.

Fall 2015 season came to a close with a strong finish against UMaine. ACWRFC had a huge comeback during the second half! Best ever in the season. It was fantastic to see the entire team come together. Congratulations to all of our wonderful ruggers for an awesome fall season!

The Amherst College Women's Rugby Football Club is a student-run club sport that competes in the New England Small College Rugby Conference (NESC Rugby), a Division II Women's Collegiate Conference. Everyone, regardless of skill level, is encouraged to come out to a practice or game and see what the sport is all about - no experience required!  We practice three days a week and play games on Saturdays during both our fall and spring seasons.
