Ways That Everyone Can Get Involved with the WGC

Anyone can connect with the WGC through social media, by joining our list serv, or by stopping by the Center. We are open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 10 to 4pm on Friday.

First-Year Students
  • In collaboration with the MRC and the QRC, the WGC hosts the Social Justice and Leadership LEAP program
  • We also host an open house during Orientation with the other Resource Centers.
  • The WGC is a great place to meet new friends and a welcoming community space where you can relax, study, explore, and connect.
All Students
  • All students are welcome in the WGC and at our programs!
  • Join or start a gender-related student organization or collaborate on an event!
Faculty & Staff
  • Our students love when faculty and staff stop by the Center to join the conversation or for an event/program. The students who call the WGC home want to have you as a part of our community.
  • If you are a self-identified feminist, you could be selected for our "F Word" Series.
  • Share your gender-based/feminist research with the WGC by hosting a lecture, discussion, or event.
  • At the end of the year, if you clean out your office and are getting rid of gender-related books or magazines, please consider donating to the WGC.
Alumni
  • Alumni are such an important part of the WGC and our mission. If you are on campus, please stop by.
  • Consider being a part of the AmHERst Speaker Series.
  • Donate funds, books, or films to the WGC.
  • And, don't forget to connect with us at Homecoming and Reunion!
Parents
  • Stop by the Center anytime you are on campus.
  • Encourage your child to attend an event to expand their cocurricular experience. Or, come yourself!
  • Donate funds, books, or films to the WGC.
Community Members
  • Most, but not all, of our programs are open to anyone in the community.
  • Members of the Five Colleges are invited to almost everything we do.
