Feminist Education Series
About the Series
The Feminist Education Series is an annual programmatic series focused on a particular topic in feminism. This program runs for the entire academic year and will consist of 4 to 6 programs ranging from large scale programs to film screenings to discussions to speakers. For the 2017-2018 series, the WGC will examine the intersection of gender and politics.
2018-2019 Series: Labor Intensive
For this year’s feminist education series, the WGC will be focusing on what it means to labor, and what labor is considered valuable. Under this somewhat broad title we will discuss sex work, disability, wage negotiation, community organizing, and birth. Through this topic of labor we will take an intersectional, justice-based approach to expand the conversation beyond equal pay.
