Thursday, October 20
 Tabling: Repeal Hyde Art Project

 U.S. reproductive health clinics are fighting to remain open. Since 2010, 288 laws regulating abortion providers have been passed by state legislatures. In total, 44 states and the District of Columbia have measures subjecting abortion providers to legal restrictions not imposed on other medical professionals. Unable to comply with these far-reaching and medically unnecessary laws, clinics have taken their fight to the courts. In 2016, as the U.S. Supreme Court decides whether individual states may, essentially, outlaw abortion (Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt), "Trapped" follows clinic workers and lawyers who are on the front lines of the battle to keep abortion safe and legal for millions of American women.

 CRAFTIVIST! Art Project

On Friday, October 21st, from 4-5pm, Join the Women’s and Gender Center’s Craftivist Art Project for  Mason Jar Painting! In our second event of Reproductive Justice Week, we want to take time to practice self-care and learn more self-care tips to prepare for the rest of the week. While we paint and decorate our jars as a form of relaxation, we will also fill the jars with resources, self-care tips, contraceptives, and menstrual health products.

 AmHERst Alumnae Series: Naomi Aberly '85

Naomi Aberly
Join us for a conversation with notable Amherst Alumna Naomi Aberly. Naomi Aberly is a political activist and civic volunteer who focuses her efforts on Women’s Health.  She has been deeply involved in progressive politics, policymaking and fundraising at the state and federal levels for the past fifteen years. She will discuss her work in the reproductive justice movement and how students can get involved in making a difference.

 Health Disparities: Access & Women's Health in Latinx Communities
 5pm | McCaffrey Room
 Join Project Salud, the WGC, and La Causa in exploring the challenges Latinx women have historically faced in accessing healthcare, with a focus on reproductive health. Professor of Medical Anthropology at Mt. Holyoke Lynn Morgan will share some of her own work in the field, with follow up questions and discussions. Veracruzana catering will be provided!

Grab and Don’t Go: Reproductive Justice is Racial Justice
Noon to 1pm | The Multicultural Resource Center
Join the WGC and the MRC for a discussion about the intersections of race and reproductive justice. The right to choose whether to raise and parent a child has racial implications. From the prison industrial complex to child welfare to forced sterilization, fighting for racial justice is fighting for reproductive justice. Facilitated by Bulaong Ramiz-Hall and Jesse Beal. Bring your own lunch, we will serve milk and cookies!!
