A project several years in the making, the joint Chinese and Japanese Language House is a new academic theme house located on the second floor of the Seligman dormitory. The Chinese/Japanese Language House is distinct from the Asian Culture House in that its primary purpose is to surround students with the opportunity to practice speaking Chinese and/or Japanese outside of a classroom context; however, Chinese and Japanese culture is still intended to be a part of the residential experience.
The 2013-14 School Year:
The 2013-2014 school year will be a trial year for the Chinese/Japanese Language House. By the end of the academic year, this page will be updated to reflect:
(1) Whether the Chinese-Japanese Language House will remain a single Theme House or be separated for the 2014-2015 school year, and
(2) The members of the e-board for the 2014-15 school year.

The Chinese and Japanese Language House is still in its trial year. An Open House event is scheduled for Thursday February 21, 2014 at 8:00 PM for all students interested in learning about the house and applying to the house for the 1415 academic year. Interested students are encouraged to contact Japanese Professor Wako Tawa or House President Jordan Young '15E.
