Residential Life

kitchen access

The following dorms have kitchens: Cohan, Drew, Garman, Newport, Moore, Chapman (across from the gym), Humphries (the Zu), Marsh, Plimpton, Tyler

Note: It is very important that you clean up after yourselves, and leave the kitchen and appliances clean and ready for the next student to use.

Many dorms with kitchens have basic equipment available there.  Also, the Dean of Students Office has supplementary equipment available to check out during break.  It is available by appointment with any of the Student Coordinators (listed here).

cooking equipment

  • pots
  • pans
  • cookie sheets
  • knives and cutting boards
  • spoons, spatulas, and other utensils
  • mixing bowls
  • measuring cups

  • colander

You may use the item(s) for 3 days before we expect you return it, unless there is high demand, in which case we will call you to arrange its return after 24 hours. A record of what you check out will be kept, and if anything is not returned in proper condition, the cost of replacing the item will be charged to your student account. You will also be charged a cleaning fee for each cooking item that is not returned clean enough to lend out to another student.
