Ski Trip!

Date: Saturday, February 18th

Time: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Location: Berkshire East

Never skied before? Skied a few times and never got the hang of it but still had fun and want to try again? Mastered the slopes at age 3 and want to laugh at all the newbies? Then this is the trip for you!

The AAS is sponsoring a ski trip to Berkshire East through the Outing Club (which means it’s FREE and open to everyone). All you have to do to get in on this fabulous day of winter fun is RSVP by emailing Cassandra. Things to include in your RSVP email: if you have a car and are willing to drive, and how many people you can fit into said car. Please note that you are only allowed to RSVP for yourself – no saving spots for friends.

Keep in mind that there are a limited number of spaces on this trip, so we will choose who can go on a first come first serve basis. If you don’t get into this trip, however, don’t fret! We’ll be announcing another ski trip for you to sign up for sometime in March.

Adventure In/Adventure Out Tracking Presentation!

Date: Monday, February 13th

Time: 7:30 PM

Location: Merrill 4

Tracking is not just following animal tracks. It is about exploring the world of animals that we know a lot of textbook facts about. But what about their mannerisms? What about who they are and why they do what they do? Whether it be a moose scrape, an otter slide, or a bobcat track, you'll find that there are rich stories to uncover as you put together the pieces of the signs that are left behind. Come visit us for a slideshow that will give you a brief glimpse into the world of tracking as we share some entertaining stories, and prepare you for a future outing (in March, tentatively) where we will explore the principles of tracking with you in the field.

Mt. Holyoke Range Hike!
