Meet in the grassy area between the health center and the geo building at 2:30 pm. We'll carve jack-o-lanterns (all materials provided) and then head out to the Connecticut river for a sunset paddle down the river with our pumpkins! We will be back in time to catch dinner at Val. Should be totally epic. Kati McKinnon will gladly welcome your RSVPs from now until Wednesday, October 28 at midnight.

Brunch Hike (Rescheduled)

Saturday, October 17, 10:00 am

We'll meet at Keefe at 10:00 and hike Mt. Holyoke to reach the delicious breakfast waiting for us at the top.  There will be scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, and juice along with beautiful views of the Valley.  RSVP to keisen12 and please let us know if you have a car and are willing to drive.

Corn Maze

Sunday, October 4, 1:00 pm

We'll meet in front of Keefe at 1:00 and head over to Mike's Corn Maze.  If you came with us to the maze last year, you'll remember that it was Odyssey-themed; this year's theme is Darwin.  There's usually good food for sale at the maze, too, and last year there was a potato launcher.  This is one of our most popular trips, so RSVP to jware11 to reserve a spot.

Sunday, September 20

Everyone is welcome, including those who have never climbed before.  As always, we lend you all of the relevant gear and teach you what you need to know.  We'll choose a local site based on the interests and experience of the people who show up.  RSVP to jware11 and meet at Chapman at 10:00 am (how to get there).  We should be back late afternoon or early evening, in time for dinner at Val.

Open Planning Meeting Extravaganza

Monday, September 14, 7:00 pm

The excitement will include, but is not limited to: slack lining, frisbee, desserts (including peanut-free creations!!!!), and of course, the chance to hang with us and decide what exactly YOU want to do with YOUR very own Outing Club this semester. We hope to see each and every one of you there. Seriously.

On the quad, unless the weather is bad, in which case in Chapin Lounge and probably without the slackline.

Hike and/or Mountain Run

Sunday, September 13

We'll head over to Mt. Sugarloaf  to enjoy a brisk wall, easy amble, or all-out run to the top of the mountain, for views of the valley and the surrounding states, weather permitting. Sugarloaf is awesome, not too hard, and beautiful. What a great way to spend your first weekend at Amherst the school, not Amherst the summer camp!  RSVP to sking10 and meet at Chapman at 10:00 am.
