I have worked in higher education for more than a decade, including posts at Harvard's Kennedy School and here at Amherst in the Center for Community Engagement and Residential Life. I have been interested in gender, sexuality and feminism since I was a teenager, when I was inspired by a diverse group of young women with big dreams and fearless hearts. I am the only child of a single mother and a first-generation college graduate. I earned an AB in Pyschology from Smith College and an MSc in Gender and Social Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and I serve on the Advisory Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County. I am committed to creating an intentional space for discussion of issues related gender, and, in particular, the issues that uniquely impact women in the Amherst College community and beyond.
