Save the Date for the Class of 1991's 25th Reunion:
May 25 - May 29, 2016
Consider the impact that your Amherst education had on your life. Now imagine the effect that you could have on the experience of Amherst students today. A special gift in honor of your 25th Reunion is a meaningful way to stay connected to the life of the College and to honor your own Amherst experiences and education. Please join the 25th Reunion tradition of giving back by being a part of a meaningful Class Gift this year.
What counts in the 25th Reunion gift total?
Your class will make a gift to Amherst in honor of the 25th reunion that will include all giving (all irrevocable gifts of cash, stock, real estate and gifts-in-kind, i.e., art) for the past five years (July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2016) and the face value of all pledges made in this fiscal year to be paid over the next five years.
In other words:
- All gifts received after the 20th Reunion count toward the 25th Reunion Gift.
- All gifts and pledges received in the 25th Reunion year count toward the 25th Reunion Gift, even if pledges are paid in the reunion year and the four years following.
Commitments can be made in one of two ways:
- an outright gift of cash or securities
- a five-year pledge commitment, the total of which will count toward the 25th gift.
Gifts and pledges can be directed to support one or more designations, such as:
- Academic Life
- Student Life
- Financial Aid
- The Arts
- Counseling and Wellness
- Current Priorites
Annual Fund Leadership Giving Societies
We hope you will consider making a special leadership gift in honor or your 25th Reunion. The 1821 Society and the Noah Webster Circle bring together Annual Fund supporters, both alumni and parents, from each generation who are dedicated to ensuring that today’s students experience the fullest possible range of intellectual, athletic, artistic, and internship opportunities.
From faculty grants that support interdisciplinary study, to summer science research grants, to scholarships that meet 100% of demonstrated need, gifts at every level of the 1821 Society combine to touch nearly every corner of academic and student life at Amherst.
You could make a one-time leadership gift to the Annual Fund, make a five-year pledge, or designate your gift to more than one area. There are many opportunities to direct your support in a way that is consistent with your values and the needs and mission of the College. Please contact Megan Murphy Wolf, Director of 25th Reunion Giving, at (413) 542-8284 for more information.
