Your 50th Reunion Gift to Amherst-"Passing the Torch"
Amherst College is able year-in and year-out to offer superb, life-enhancing education to great students because, from its earliest days, alumni have given back generously to the college over their lives. The 50th Reunion stands out in the lifetimes of alumni as a most significant occasion for reflecting on the gift that was Amherst. The generous support given at this time, as the 50th Reunion Gift, secures the gift of Amherst for current and future generations of students.
Please see this information sheet, describing the ways for Passing the Torch, sharing our bounty.
50th Reunion Counting and Crediting Rules
All gifts of all types given, and all pledges made, during the five-year period beginning with the 46th year and ending with the 50th, count in the 50th Reunion Gift. The 50th Reunion is a great time to make a planned gift, such as an annuity or charitable remainder trust, and testamentary bequests or retirement plan beneficiary designations. For more information about planned giving options, please visit the Gift Planning website.
The Class of 1964 will celebrate its 50th Reunion on campus from May 28 through June 1, 2014.
