Amherst College is able year-in and year-out to offer life-enhancing education to great students because, from its earliest days, alumni have given generously to the college over their lives. The 50th Reunion stands out in the lifetimes of alumni as a most significant occasion for reflecting on the gift that was Amherst. Their generous support secures the gift of Amherst for current and future generations of students.
All gifts of all types given, and all pledges made, during the five-year period beginning with the 46th year and ending with the 50th count in the 50th Reunion Gift. The centerpiece of the Class of 1969's 50th Reunion fundraising is the Class of 1969 Student Research Fund, which will be a permanent endowed fund to support Amherst students engaged in original research during the summer.
Other attractive gift options are gifts to the Amherst Fund and planned gifts, such as annuities or charitable remainder trust, and testamentary bequests or retirement plan beneficiary designations. For more information about planned giving options, please visit the Gift Planning website.
The Class of 1969 will celebrate its 50th Reunion on campus from May 29 through June 2, 2019.
