Charles L. D'Ooge '44
Chuck D’Ooge died in Knoxville, TN, on July 7, 2007. At Amherst, he was a member of Psi Upsilon and of the cross country team.
He served in the US Navy during World War II and later became a retired engineer, rocket scientist, and an avid aviator. He enjoyed singing and was active in the choir in the Central Methodist Church in Lenoir City, TN.
Chuck was predeceased by his wife, Mary. He is survived by three children and five grandchildren.
