James C. Jaenicke '46

Jim Jaenicke, who was with us freshman year at Amherst before transferring to the Chicago Art Institute, died last October 5 in San Diego, CA.

A man of many talents and enthusiasms, Jim was not only an artist but was particularly known as a drummer.  His popular amateur band played at a number of events in the San Diego area.

An air force veteran, Jim was also an avid gardener and fervent nutritionist.

Jim is survived by his five children.
