IT’s Communications Infrastructure department (ITCI) is responsible for the delivery of wired and wireless access to the campus network from approximately 80 buildings and many outdoor areas. ITCI also operates and maintains a private branch exchange and unified messaging system for office and public phones, a cable television network, and a substantial inventory of inside plant and outside plant fiber optic and copper cabling.

Other areas of ITCI operations include:

  • network and infrastructure design and specification work 
  • mass notification and other emergency communication tools
  • E-911 database maintenance
  • cellular equipment and services
  • telephone call accounting and billing services

Steve has a staff of three and reports to the CIO.  In addition to directing ITCI, he is a member of the Emergency Management Group and Technical Advisor to WAMH.
