To Write Love on Her Arms Amherst College
To Write Love On Her Arms Amherst is a chapter organization that builds community on campus with an emphasis on hope. We apply the mission of the nonprofit To Write Love On Her Arms through campus involvement, efforts in Pioneer Valley, and through our interaction with mental health topics at regular meetings.
Our purpose is twofold. We aim to be the bridge between existing mental health resources and the existing ways people manage to cope with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide by providing community while also providing students an outlet to advocate, inform, and inspire by getting involved in a student-led effort that addresses mental health. We're not a support group, but rather an inclusive community group that brings a light to important issues often left in the dark.
