Description: Michael Greve will draw from his new book, The Upside-Down Constitution, and discuss the connection he makes to the questions before us now, vexing our politics. Greve is the John G. Searle Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and head of the Institute’s Transatlantic Law Forum. Mr. Greve cofounded the Center for Individual Rights and was its director from 1989 – 2000. He has written extensively on many aspects of the American legal system. His publications include numerous law review articles and several books, the most recent being The Upside-Down Constitution.This talk is free and open to the public. Description: George J. Marlin will give his views on the upcoming 2012 presidential election. Marlin is the former Executive Director and CEO of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He is currently the chairman of the Philadelphia Trust Company. Marlin is also a contributor to the New York Post, a political columnist for the Long Island Business News and a contributing editor of TheCatholicThing.org. He is the author/editor of eleven books including Squandered Opportunities: New York’s Pataki Years, The American Catholic Voter: Two Hundred Years of Political Impact, and Fighting the Good Fight: A History of the New York Conservative Party. In 1993, Mr. Marlin was the Conservative Party nominee for mayor of the City of New York, and in 1994 he served on Governor-elect Pataki's transition team.
