Word has been received of the death of Hilary “Joe” Norman on June 9.
He prepared for Amherst at Shaker Heights High School and during college was a member of Delta Upsilon, serving as chapter president. George Watson ’54 recalls that Joe earned an “A” for football and was a physics major.
Joe was retired from Bettis Laboratories in Pittsburgh after many years spent as a nuclear engineer. He and Suzi (Delphuy), who predeceased him, had a long and happy marriage. He was not in contact with the class or the college for many years and no other information about survivors is available.
