The Faculty Travel and Student Travel pages may be helpful guides as students and faculty members plan college-sponsored trips. Any trip that is funded, arranged, and/or credited by the college is considered college-sponsored.

Both faculty and student travel pages contain trip planning recommendations and FAQs. (All semester or year study away travel information and requirements are located on the Office of Global Education webpage.)

All Amherst College students, faculty, and staff traveling on college-sponsored trips have access to AIG Travel Guard when they travel more than 100 miles from home (or Amherst). AIG Travel Guard is an emergency medical assistance insurance benefit. Please see the Faculty Travel and Student Travel pages for more information.
