An Amherst Reunion isn’t quite like other reunions.

For Memorial Day weekend, nearly 2,400 alumni, families and guests returned to Amherst. Reunion kicked off on Wednesday, May 25, with a thought-provoking panel about Parkinson’s disease presented by the class of 1966. Over the next four days, more than 140 additional programs and events took place, and campus buzzed with activity.

Amherst alumni take a great deal of responsibility in planning Reunion. Each returning class organizes and presents anywhere from four to six programs by drawing on the interests and talents of classmates. Each Reunion class also has their own large campus tent where they can host catered dinners and evening entertainment. Add to this the College-sponsored museum tours, open houses, faculty talks and an all-campus lunch on the quad, and you have a weekend to remember.
