Mascot Suggestions Number 2,046 — The nominating process for mascot suggestions closed on Nov. 30. Nominations came from 1,590 alumni, students, faculty and staff. Of the
2,046 ideas they submitted, 588 were unique. As the
next step in the process, the mascot committee will winnow down the list to no more than 30 semifinalists.
