Multifaith Council

Founded informally in 2005, the MC received affiliat AAS recognition in the fall of 2007.

It promotes religious tolerance through activities including the Martin Luther King Day Multifaith service, lectures on different religious traditions, outings and community service projects.

Amherst College Professor Lawrence A. Babb

will explore the influence of Hinduism and Jainism on

Gandhi's life and work to secure India's independence.

The interactive lecture will be followed by a Q&A session

and discussion.
