Head of Digital Initiatives and Web Services

Sarah Walden McGowan manages the digitization of unique and rare materials from Archives and Special Collections to build the Library’s Digital Collections and to support curricular needs. She also consults with faculty and students on digital scholarship projects for research and classroom uses. Please contact Sarah about digitizing unique and rare materials held by Amherst College Archives & Special Collections for curricular purposes, with inquiries about other kinds of support the Library can offer for using Digital Scholarship in the classroom, or with questions about student employment in the Digital Programs Department, including the Digital Scholarship Summer Internship.
