tudent farmers play a vital role in all aspects of vegetable production at Book & Plow from improving infrastructure, greenhouse seeding, and crop care, to harvest, post-harvest handling, and community outreach. You will assume a leadership role in the day-to-day operation of the farm and develop an independent project related to the farm that engages your academic, professional, or personal goals. We also go on field trips to area farms and enjoy crew lunches throughout the summer. 
    Students will be paid through their Academic Institution.
    Amherst Students: Pay is $15.25/hour; if you live on campus, housing and 3 meals a day are included. Interns will work 30-35 hours a week, generally Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interns are expected to commit to a 8-10 week internship.
