In January 2019, the consulting firm Integral Group prepared the Amherst College Zero Carbon Energy System Study to identify and evaluate broad campus low-carbon energy conversion strategies to serve as key components of the draft Amherst College Climate Action Plan (CAP), which has identified a goal of decarbonization by 2035. Integral Group’s research revealed low-carbon energy conversion strategies and specific options that are technically and economically feasible, and supportive of campus goals to provide resilient infrastructure.
