The year 1611 gave birth to the Mead’s wood-paneled Rotherwas Room and William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Inspired by this historical convergence, Myers presents an installation of contemporary sculptures, textiles, and boats that question why the figure of the “wildman” appears again and again in literature and arts from the twelfth century to the present day.
