Alumni Colloquium - Amherst College History: Post-World War II to the Present

An Amherst education doesn’t end with graduation. The College has created a liberal arts experience steeped in Amherst history for alumni, parents and students: Alumni Colloquium. On November 15-16, 2019 you are invited to campus for a two-day, interdisciplinary program about the College from the post-World War II period to the present day. Led by members of Amherst’s distinguished faculty with contributions from alumni, staff and students, the Colloquium will feature a private tour of the Bunker, lectures about the intriguing people who have taught and studied at Amherst, a film screening and opportunities to connect with fellow participants.
Since 2004, this program has created a rich and interactive intellectual experience for the broader Amherst community. Alumni Colloquium (formerly known as Amherst Today) combines time in the classroom with experiential learning. The program begins on Friday afternoon, and you are welcome to attend open classes, visit with your favorite professors and spend time with students before it begins. View the full schedule.
Amherst College History: Post-WWII to the Present is the third in our four-part bicentennial series that examines Amherst’s story through time. The series will culminate next year with an exploration of current research, scholarship and events at the College. See past programs.
The registration fee for the program and meals (including lunch and dinner Friday as well as breakfast and lunch on Saturday) is $100 per person.
