Dye Sublimation printing is a popular method for printing high-quality images onto a variety of fabrics and promotional items. Unlike vinyl heat transfers which only print on top of the surface of fabrics, sublimation printing places ink within the fabric and makes the image a permanent part of the material.

Dye Sublimation printing requires 100% polyester material or a surface with polymer coating, and works best with white or light-colored fabrics. Clothing with less than a 100% polyester blend can be used but will produce a "vintage" or "distressed" look.

 Heat Transfer Vinyl

Heat transfer vinyl, or HTV for short, is a specialty vinyl polymer that can be used on most fabrics and materials to create designs and promotional products.

Heat transfer vinyl can be used to create special effects with its glitter, flocked, holographic, glow-in-the-dark, and 3D puff options. HTV is traditionally placed on textile products. Because of the nature of the way the vinyl is applied, it must be used on products that can take the heat and pressure required to make the transfer adhere properly. For fabrics and clothing, typically this is temperatures in the range of 250-300 deg Fahrenheit.
